Arlo Rose, Vice President, Dragon TV for Nuance Mobile, leads the product development and management of Nuance’s innovative Dragon TV platform for the digital living room. In this role, Rose shapes the vision of how people use their voice to interact with televisions and entertainment devices, while creating more human, interactive and enhanced entertainment experiences.
Rose has more than 22 years of experience in the industry as an internationally published product, visual and interaction designer. Prior to joining Nuance, he worked for Yahoo! where he led the creation of the Yahoo! Connected TV platform, landing him an Emmy in 2011. Rose is also credited for creating the first desktop widget engine, Konfabulator, which served at the template for every major web, desktop and mobile widget platform. His past work experience includes working with PGP Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Apple Computer and several start-up technology companies, both as a co-founder and product creator. Rose’s time at Apple was spent designing the specifications for the Mac OS 8 Macintosh Toolbox.
