Sam Jackel

Sam Jackel is a voice technology expert, who has experience in implementing innovative technology solutions and large scale projects. Sam has been working in the financial services industry since 1998, and his career has encompassed roles in online banking, project delivery, and voice channel management.  Sam's background is in communications engineering. In his current role, Sam is responsible for the delivery of Westpac's new speech recognition system. The system is aimed at pushing the boundaries of customer experience capability with the technology and breaking down the perceptions customers have within the region.

Prior to his current role, Sam was Program Manager for NAB where he was responsible for implementation of nab's Voice Biometric and Speech Recognition platforms.  Sam has a passion for improving user experience and believes it can be done whilst driving business benefit
