Marie Meteer

Dr. Marie Meteer has over 25 years experience in speech and NLP and is currently the Director of Speech and NLP at XTone, a pioneer in the emerging market for mobile voice assistants. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Brandeis University’s Computational Linguistics program and a member of the AVIOS Advanced Dialog Forum. She was a co-founder and Vice President of Speech of RAMP (previously EveryZing), a digital media merchandising platform which uses speech and natural language processing to drive search engine optimization. She was the founder and Executive Director of the Speech Technology Consortium, a nonprofit organization focused on IP and patent related issues. Previously, Dr. Meteer was at BBN technologies for 20 years in positions ranging from research scientist to VP of Speech managing technology and commercial business development. Dr. Meteer received her Ph.D. in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Massachusetts.
