Emmett Coin leads the R&D effort for human-computer conversation systems where he creates, explores and evangelizes conversation engines that permit computers to carry on real-time intelligent and human-like conversations with people. Emmett's experience with speech spans more than 30 years. He is currently focused on the "Cassandra Project" which incorporates the advanced ejTalker engine technology into an intelligent, extendable synthetic agent.

Emmett is the Industrial Poet and founder of ejTalk. As Industrial Poet, he sets ejTalk's guiding principles for enduring designs: Spare, evocative, reliable, and scalable, industrial-strength solutions.
