 Charles Galles is a Principal Member of Technical Staff with AT&T Research. He has over 15 years of experience in government and industry applications of speech recognition technology. Through the years Charles has contributed to the speech industry in a wide variety of efforts including speech platform integration, standards definitions, complex grammar development, and tuning process improvements. He enjoys working with researchers and customers to find solutions that solve real problems. His current focus is on improving tools and processes for building large language models. When not talking to computers, Charles enjoys aviation, biking and iPhone programming.
