Tom Houwing
After a career switch in 1999, Tom Houwing leveraged his past experience within the IT industry as Voice User Interface Architect at Speechtel Benelux B.V. In January 2002 he joined VoiceObjects AG and went on to found his own VUI consulting and design agency, voiceandvision. Houwing has revolutionised dialogue design and created applications that are exemplary in terms of usability, conversational structured prompting, event-handling and audio design.  He is not only a true subject matter expert, but also one of the most appreciated visionaries worldwide. 

Maria Aretoulaki
Maria is the founder and Director of DialogCONNECTION Ltd, a UK-based Voice User Interface (VUI) Design consultancy and specialises in user-centred and intuitive but also robust and efficient speech interfaces and IVRs for English, German and Greek. She has been designing, specifying, branding, developing, usability testing, tuning and optimising voice-to-text and speech self-service applications for 14 years for over 20 organisations worldwide across 15 verticals including banking, telecoms, retail, insurance, automotive and government.

Nava Shaked
Nava Shaked is a well known expert in voice applications, NLP (Natural Language Processing), AI languages, computational linguistics, and call centre optimisation in Israel and the US. Alongside her CEO role at BBT, Shaked provides major enterprises with consultancy services, business strategy formation, system architecture design, professional services and client-side project management, as well as providing hands-on assistance for project development, technology and integration assessment. Shaked is an elected board member of the Applied Voice Input/Output Society (AVIOS) and has established and Chairs the AVIOS Israeli local chapter.

Detlev Artelt
Detlev Artelt is CEO of aixvox GmbH and author of the book series, Voice Compass. A European pioneer in communication and speech automation, Detlev has been helping enterprises improve their business results by employing Unified Communications (UC) and Speech automation since 1993. A keynote speaker and well-known panel moderator for many events, Detlev leads the UC Working Committee at the German eco institution for internet business, is active in a number of other related communities, and has established  a local European chapter of the Applied Voice Input/Output Society (AVIOS). 

David Attwater
David has over 17 years' experience of speech and touch-tone user interface design and test. David has a specific focus on customer usability testing and has recently been involved in helping clients investigate the use of voice biometrics and alternative security solutions for banking applications. He is an acknowledged expert in the design and test of natural language solutions for customer service.
