Dr. Qian Hu, Chief Scientist of Speech Technology, is principal investigator of several MITRE research projects including Clinical Reasoning and Multimodel Prediction of PTSD, Mining Audio Cues from PTSD Interview Recordings (MACPI), Biometrics-Based User Authentication via Voice, Intelligent UAS Situation Awarness and Information Delivery, Multimodal Medical Data Capture and Representation, and Audio Hot Spotting. She has published papers and book chapters on speech technology and multimedia information retrieval. She is principal inventor for two US patents: “System and Method for Audio Hot Spotting” and "System and Method for Biometric-Based User Authentication via Voice".
